1. Commitment
We want people to be able to perceive, operate and understand our public website and the interfaces we ship for clients. Accessibility is part of design and engineering quality. Where a feature cannot yet meet our target, we document the gap and plan remediation.
2. Scope
This statement covers:
- the public Monolith Studio marketing site (home, work, services, platform, pricing, contact and legal pages);
- authentication and client-portal screens operated by Monolith Corp for this deployment;
- interactive tools we control, such as the pricing estimator and consent controls.
It does not automatically cover third-party embeds, client-owned content after handover, or external products linked from this site. Those parties are responsible for their own accessibility unless a project contract says otherwise.
3. Standards we aim for
Our engineering and QA target for production experiences is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We also consider related practices such as visible focus, touch target size, and honouring prefers-reduced-motion.
We describe the target honestly. Formal full AA conformance is claimed only for releases that have been tested against that standard for the deployed content.
4. Measures we take
- semantic HTML (headings, lists, landmarks, buttons and links used for their proper roles);
- visible focus styles and logical keyboard order for interactive controls;
- labelled form fields and text error messages; colour is not the only cue;
- browser zoom and responsive reflow across common breakpoints;
- text alternatives for meaningful images;
- respect for reduced-motion preferences for non-essential animation where implemented;
- contrast review for primary text and controls during visual QA.
5. Compatibility
The site is designed for current major browsers (recent Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge) on desktop and mobile. We test representative journeys with keyboard-only navigation. Screen-reader checks typically include VoiceOver and/or NVDA for key flows such as navigation, forms and the cookie preference control.
6. Technical features on this site
- Navigation — primary links are available without hover-only discovery; the mobile menu can be opened and closed with keyboard-accessible controls.
- Forms — contact and enquiry flows use labelled inputs; validation feedback is available as text.
- Cookie preferences — choices can be opened from the footer “Cookie settings” control and do not require accepting non-essential categories to use the site.
- Motion — the homepage includes decorative motion. Reduced-motion preferences disable or simplify pointer-driven and physics interactions where coded to do so.
7. Known limitations
- Visual / motion demos — hero graphics and interactive type can be visually busy; core content and calls to action remain available in the surrounding page structure.
- Charts and dashboards — portal charts may not yet expose full textual or tabular equivalents for every series.
- Third-party widgets — if analytics, payments, maps or chat tools are connected for a client project, their accessibility varies by vendor and is re-tested after integration.
- PDF or downloadable assets — when added, documents need separate remediation (tagged PDFs, or HTML alternatives).
8. Assessment approach
For production releases we:
- manually test primary journeys with keyboard only;
- spot-check with at least one screen reader on a major OS;
- check zoom at 200% and, where practical, up to 400% for reflow on key templates;
- review contrast on text, meaningful icons, and focus indicators;
- verify form errors, dialogs, and the consent control;
- re-test after significant design or dependency changes.
9. Client projects
When Monolith builds a site for a client, accessibility requirements (target level, testing scope, content responsibilities and remediation windows) are written into the statement of work. Client-supplied copy, media and third-party scripts remain the client’s responsibility unless the contract assigns that work to us.
10. Feedback and contact
If you find an accessibility barrier on this site, please tell us. Useful details include the page URL, what you were trying to do, what went wrong, the browser/device, and any assistive technology in use.
